Reece named to start for Crusaders

Fijian wing Sevu Reece will make his first Super Rugby start for the Crusaders when they take on the Chiefs in Christchurch on Saturday.

Stuff.co reports, the 22-year-old will make his debut in place of resting All Blacks George Bridge, with Braydon Ennor switching to the left wing.

Reece was picked up by the Crusaders after being cut by Irish club Connacht following his appearance in the Hamilton District Court.

He was charged with one count of assault, an incident involving his girlfriend in July last year.

Meanwhile, looking at this weekend’s super rugby matches, the Hurricanes meet the Highlanders at 6.35pm today followed by the Rebels taking on the Brumbies at 8.45pm.

Tomorrow, the Crusaders meet the Chiefs at 4.15pm, the Blues battle the Sunwolves at 6.35pm before the Waratahs play the Reds at 8.45pm.

On Sunday, the Lions will take on the Jaguares at 1.05am.
