Hurricanes Coach John Plumtree refuses to put a time frame on Dane Coles return to rugby from a calf injury.

Plumtree says Coles will not feature against the Rebels tomorrow and has not played since March.

“They’re pretty frustrated and annoyed but we’ve been through that and but we definitely want to see him again.”

Coles’ injury was originally described as minor but the All Blacks striker is struggling to shake it and Plumtree won’t rush him back.

In tonight’s super rugby matches, Crusaders meet Sharks at 7.35pm while Reds to battle Sunwolves at 9.45pm.

Tomorrow, Hurricanes to play Rebels at 5.15pm, Highlanders to take on Chiefs at 7.35pm while Brumbies to meet Blues at 9.45pm.

On Sunday, Bulls will play Waratahs at 1.05am.
