The Naitasiri side made a winning start defeating Namosi 24-21 in the first match of the Skipper Fiji Rugby Championship at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park last night.

Naitasiri’s consistency was prevalent throughout the match scoring four tries to beat a fierce Namosi side.

Winning its first match of the Skipper Cup, Coach Ilaitia Tuisese Junior says they still have a lot of work to do in terms of working with new players in his squad.

Meanwhile, the first round of the Skipper Cup competition will continue today where Tailevu meet Suva 3pm at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park.

In other matches at the same time, Rewa takes on Northland at the Burebasaga Ground, while Nadroga plays Nadi at Sigatoka’s Lawaqa Park.
