It was quite an emotional moment for the then 18-year-old Kini Murimurivalu in 2007 when the Flying Fijians played in the quarterfinal of the Rugby World Cup.

12 years later, Murimurivalu will be representing Fiji at his third World Cup.

Murimurivalu cannot believe that he will be representing Fiji for the third time at a Rugby World Cup as he recalls one unforgettable moment back at Queen Victoria School.

He says the memories of Fiji’s quarterfinal match against South Africa in 2007 is still fresh.

“I never dreamt of playing in three world cups it started back when I was in QVS in 2007 when Fiji played South Africa I was back at the dining hall watching the game and it was so emotional watching the boys and at that moment I said maybe one day I’ll be there representing Fiji’.”

Murimurivalu was also part of the Flying Fijians team bonding exercise at Namuamua Village in Namosi yesterday and he says it was quite an experience.
