Australia rugby vice-captain Samu Kerevi says it was a proud moment for him to have his parents in the grandstand, as the Wallabies hammered New Zealand 47-26 on Saturday.

The win gives Australia a chance to win the Bledisloe Cup, provided the side beats the All Blacks this Saturday in Auckland.

Kerevi’s parents, Nimilote and Senimili, were in the stands in Perth.

Nimilote is a former Suva, Rewa and Fiji football rep.

The younger Kerevi says family plays a super role in his career.

“It was really awesome and to also have my parents from Fiji here, was really special and to get a win with them here was what made it more cherishable.”

The two nations meet on Saturday at 7.35pm at Eden Park in Auckland.
