Samu Kerevi scores a try for the Wallabies against the Flying Fijians

Fiji Born Australian center Samu Kerevi says he is proud of his origins.

The 25-year-old for the first time in his rugby career tackled his birth country Fiji.

Kerevi and his fellow Fijian teammate, Marika Koroibete both assisted Australia to defeat Fiji 39-21.

The Australian Center says it was an emotional week for him, however, a video sent from back home was a boost for him.

Kerevi joked about worrying that his house may fall after seeing his excited grandmother banging the walls as they cheered on for the Rugby World cup.

He says it really put into perspective what a game of rugby can do for a small nation like Fiji.

Australia will now face Wales at 7.45pm next Sunday.
