The Highlanders rugby side has maintained its winning form after beating Queensland Reds 36-31 in their Super Rugby clash in Dunedin.

Dillon Hunt scored a match-winning try with six minutes left as the Otago Highlanders once again fought back to seal its second straight win.

Reds coach Brad Thorn says they were just unlucky on the day.

“Really disappointed, the boys put in a big effort and both teams competed hard for in the game. We had the extra at the end but we missed that opportunity.”

Meanwhile, in the matches today Waratahs take on Sunwolves at 4.15pm and the Crusaders faces Hurricanes at 6.35pm after which Brumbies meet Chiefs at 8.45pm.

In the matches tomorrow, Sharks play Blues at 1.05am while Stormers meets the Lions at 3.15am.
