Highlanders hope to secure second win

The Highlanders have bolstered their squad with nine All Blacks set to start their first home game of the Super Rugby season against the Reds tomorrow.

The Dunedin based side hopes to seal its second straight win after beating Chiefs 30-27 last weekend.

Highlanders coach Aaron Mauger says he wants all his players to have a feel of the competition early in the season.

“I want to give players the opportunities to play and some of these guys played last week and have put their hand up again. There are some guys coming into the squad this week and I’m sure they perform too.”

Highlanders will battle Reds at 6.35pm Friday.

On Saturday, Waratahs take on Sunwolves at 4.15pm and the

Crusaders face Hurricanes at 6.35pm before Brumbies meet Chiefs at 8.45pm.

On Sunday morning, Sharks play Blues at 1.05 while Stormers meets the Lions at 3.15am.
