Rested Rebels halfback Will Genia is gearing up for a full 80 minute performance in the sides season opener against the Brumbies.

The 31-year-old says he is also looking forward to linking back up with veteran playmaker Quade Cooper.

“We are trying to create some magic. Now look we know each other’s game, we know each other for long time and have played together. I think we just trying to fit in this structure of how we want to play as a team.”

The Brumbies plays the Rebels at 8.45pm on Friday while the Blues faces the Crusaders at 6.35pm on Saturday.
