FRU to put more focus on womens rugby [Source: FRU]

The Fiji Rugby Union will put more focus in taking the women’s competition to another level from next season.

FRU Chief Executive, John O’Connor says they have mapped out a plan which can improve the standard of women’s rugby in Fiji.

“The Skipper Cup teams are required to now field full 15’s team and likewise all the teams playing in the Vodafone Vanua are required to field women’s 10’s team which will be developed into 15’s teams in 2020.”

FRU is hoping to begin its first provincial competition in April next year.
