December 11, 2018 5:29 pm

The Fiji Rugby Union will replace its Under-20 Skipper Cup competition to Under-19 as it focus to build a better team for the World Championship next month.

FRU Chief Executive John O’Connor says all the clubs have agreed to move down a grade during their special general meeting last weekend.

We will now move the competition from Under-20 to Under-19. We will be selecting an Under-20 team to represent Fiji in the Oceania Championship where we play New Zealand, Australia and Japan. We then play in the World Championship in June so what was agreed in the meeting that for all the teams in the Skipper Cup needs to have a development team.
