FRU begins plan for World Cup

FIJI AIRWAYS FLYING FIJIANS CELEBRATE AFTER THEIR HISTORIC WIN OVER FRANCE LAST YEAR

Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive John O’Connor says nearly all the top Fiji Airways Flying Fijians players have confirmed their availability for the World Cup in Japan this year.

O’Connor says they are working together with World Rugby to ensure that players are released from their respective clubs on time.

“I know there was some news about players in the UK but we are working with World Rugby to resolve all those problems. We just looking forward to players coming home and preparing for the World Cup.”

Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia, and Uruguay.

The Rugby World Cup will be held from 20th of September to the 2nd of November in Japan this year.
