Four new women’s teams will be part of this year’s Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship.

Oceania Rugby representative Cathy Wong says with the inclusion of these new teams, the number of women’s teams has increased to 12 from 8 last year.

Wong adds Oceania Rugby will be partnering with UN Women throughout the tournament to promote women in rugby.

A total of 81 games will be played at the Oceania Sevens.

The Oceania 7s tournament kicks off on the 7th to the 9th of November.
