Flying Fijians present Akita State Governor with signed jersey

The Flying Fijians presented the State Governor of Akita in Japan with a signed jersey which was presented by Head coach John McKee.

Governor Norihisa Satake said he was so honored to have the team in Akita and also spoke highly of former Flying Fijians flanker Setareki Tawake and Josua Kerevi who have been great ambassadors for Fiji in Akita.

The governor said he visited Fiji 3 years ago and that he enjoyed himself thoroughly especially the fishing.

Head coach John McKee said he was grateful to the people of Akita for hosting the team.

McKee added the team was appreciative of the support they’ve received and the training facilities that’s been organized for their use.

McKee together with Semi Kunatani and Jale Vatubua then visited Mayor of Akita with a signed Fiji Airways Flying Fijians Jersey.

There were no stopping fans from coming to take selfies with Kunatani and Vatubua and even brought rugby balls for them to autograph.
