The Flying Fijians debutants who played against the Barbarians over the weekend have been praised by the coaching staff.

Arriving back home this afternoon, following their 33-31 win in Twickenham on Sunday, assistant coach Senirusi Seruivakula says the team played exceptionally well.

“After 49 years these boys have created history and it’s a big achievement and opportunity for them especially going out there and playing for their country against players who have just come out from the RWC so it’s great exposure and experience.”

Seruvakula has also pointed out that rookie fly-half Teti Tela will be a player to watch going further.

He says the focus now is to build the Fijian Latui side, as the competition starts next year.

The side arrived today without Coach John McKee and Captain Frank Lomani.
