Fiji way ahead of 2015 says Mckee

Flying Fijians Coach John Mckee says there is a lot of strength in Fiji’s three Quarters and Wings.

This after he was questioned on positioning Semi Radradra whose usual position is centre to the winger position.

Mckee says he had looked into the team’s combinations well and it was a better option to have Semi Radradra playing for the winger position.

With Semi playing on the wing, Wise Nayacalevu he’s a similar sort of player he could play center or wing but he predominantly plays center for his club. So for this game we see that as our strongest combination across the three quarters with Josua Tuisova playing on the other wing.

Talking about Fiji’s match against the Wallabies, Mckee revealed where the strength lies for Fiji.

I would look to the Rugby Championship, particularly the game in Perth. They will probably keep their kicking to a minimum and hope that they can get some dominance. For us, that game can suit us well. We won’t take our chances, Michael Cheika might think that his team is unpredictable but I would also like to think that we have got some unpredictability about ourselves. The type of players that we have got, who can run in open spaces and offload, and pass, given the opportunity I think that we can bring some unpredictability in our attack.

Mckee says Fiji is way ahead of where they were back in 2015.

Fiji in their last encounter against Australia lost to them 28-13 in 2015 where they bowed out of the tournament in its pool stages.

The Flying Fijians will begin their 2019 Rugby World Cup Campaign against Australia this afternoon at 4.45pm.
