It’s any parents dream to see their children succeed in life.

That’s no different for William and Amelia Reece as they are still trying to come to terms with the news that their son will soon be an All Black.

Sevuloni Reece, was named by All Blacks coach Steve Hansen in his squad for the Rugby Championship.

It’s quite emotional for the Reece’s in Nadi that less than a year ago their son was without employment.

An incident in July last year, which involved his partner, led to his contract with Irish club Connacht being torn up after he was discharged without conviction.

But a remorseful Reece was given a chance by the Crusaders when his professional career was in the balance and the 22 year grabbed the opportunity with both hands and never looked back.

Sevu’s dad William Reece says his son’s hard work and sacrifice has finally paid off considering what he went through recently.

‘I believe it’s all through hard work we look back just 9 months ago he was without a super rugby contract but today for his name to appear as an All Black we can only thank God for giving him the talent’

The Reece family is also planning a special gathering on Saturday night for the Super Rugby final between the Crusaders and Jaguares.
