Do or die situation for Drua

October 14, 2019 3:40 pm

It will be a ‘do or die’ situation for the Fiji Airways Drua as they defend their National Rugby Championship title in the semifinals against the Canberra Vikings this week.

Coming off a narrow victory last weekend against the Queensland Country, the Seruvakula coached side held Queensland to the end of the wire for the win.

The Drua and the Vikings met in last year’s semifinal but tables turned earlier this year when the Vikings defeated the Drua 41-28 in Round 5.

Discipline still remains a problem for the Drua after the win, with the side conceding 17 penalties and copping a yellow card late in the 2nd half.

The Drua will face the Vikings at 4pm this Sunday while Western Force will take on Brisbane City in the first semi-final at 4pm this Saturday.
