Fiji Airways men’s 7s utility Meli Derenalagi is expected to make the cut into the final 13 member squad for the Hamilton and Sydney tournament.

Derenalagi made his debut for the national team in Dubai last year and has been one of the outstanding performer in the team.

Coach Gareth Baber says the players have kept the consistency despite coming out of the festive season.

“We looked good, we looked quick, fit and well-conditioned. The player know to win any tournament they have to be at the top of their game.”

Fiji is pooled with Australia, Argentina and Wales in the Hamilton 7s which will be held on the 26^th and 27^th of this month in New Zealand.
