Crusaders beat Highlanders in Super Rugby pre-season clash

The Crusaders managed to score a last-minute try to beat Highlanders 43-38 in its Super Rugby pre-season clash last night.

Defending Champion Crusaders claimed first blood against its southern rival Highlanders,  running out to a 14-7 half-time lead through tries from midfielder Tim Bateman and loose forward Jordan Taufua.

Crusaders will be traveling north to face Blues next Saturday as they chase their third straight Super Rugby crown.

Meanwhile, Highlanders will take on the Chiefs in Hamilton next Friday.
