The Ba Provincial Freebird Institute today celebrated its under 19 triumph at the Vodafone Deans competition last month.

School principal Waliki Nasau says the win was a historic one for Ba Provincial Freebird Institute as this is their first Deans title win for the school.

Nasau says today was about thanking the players and supporters.

“It’s motivating as they have that passion for the school and what this milestone has achieved it really brings us together with the old scholars, parents, teachers and supporters of the school.”

Under 19 captain Radike Buresova says it was humbling to see the parents, old scholars and fans come out in numbers.

“It’s a dream come true especially at a young age to get a feel of the championship and we are grateful that we were able to win the U19 title.”

Ba Provincial thrashed Saint John’s College 35-12 in the final.
