Vodafone Flying Fijians squad member, Dominiko Waqaniburotu, says the competition for places in the team is a plus for the national side ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

Waqaniburotu, who is eyeing his second World Cup outing, is fighting for a place with some of the best.

He says the players know too well what is needed to make the cut in the 31-member squad for the World Cup.

“Yeah it’s good to get Netani Talei back who joined the camp last week. We have a lot of loose forwards at the moment. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad challenge but it is good challenge for the team and at the moment we are happy to be working around each other at training and helping each other.”

The final team for the World Cup will be named on Friday night in Suva.
