Australian rugby league star Cameron Smith has put an end to retirement talk by confirming he will suit up for a 19th season with Melbourne in 2020.
The 36-year-old skipper will resume training with the Storm in January to prepare for next season after a record-breaking 411 games for the club.
Smith made his NRL debut in the 2002 season and played in all 27 games for Melbourne in 2019, finishing runner-up in the Dally M Medal.

Such has been his durability, he has made at least 20 NRL appearances in each season since his debut year, as well as playing 56 games for Australia and 42 State of Origin games for Queensland.
Meanwhile, Fiji Bati forward Tui Kamikamica has signed a new two year deal with the Melbourne Storm.
Kamikamica has re-signed with the Storm until the end of 2022 with options for another season in 2023.

Kamikamica was declared the Storm’s most improved player of 2019, rounding out his first full NRL season with impressive displays for Fiji in the front row.
