Some other players named in the 18 men team include Timoci Namotukula, Maika Serulevu, Vereti Peceli, Ilisavani Jegesa, Marika Tagicakibau and Tikiko Noke.

Coach Brandon Costin says the team is excited to play their first match this Saturday.

“We just need to hold the ball a lot more and keep the ball away from the opposition as much as we can and just learning to play a professional type of football is where we will start and we will grow every week but I think this week will be a real good test for our boys.”

Chairman of the Silktails team Petero Civoniceva says the journey has been a challenging one but it will all pay off when the side plays its first match.

Civoniceva says the main objective of the Silktails is to provide exposure to the local players.

The side will play Wolves this Saturday at 3pm.
