RKS U19 rugby league on track to defend title

The Ratu Kadavulevu School under 19 side is not track to defend the Colin Love Trophy in the Fiji Secondary School rugby league competition.

The RKS side defeated QVS 26-16 in the second semifinal of the South-Eastern zone competition at Buckhurst Park yesterday.

RKS scored three tries to two to lead 16-10 at the break.

RKS vice Principal Walesi Soqoiwasa says it was not an easy clash as QVS fought until the end.

“You know when the two rival schools when they meet in the rugby union or rugby league it’s always tough and you see the result of the game it was right up to the last minute when RKS came out with the win but QVS was all in the game up till the end.”

In the first semi-final, Nasinu defeated John Wesley 28-26.

RKS will meet Nasinu Secondary School in the final next week while losing semifinalists QVS and John Wesley College will play in the 3rd and 4th place.

In the Under 17, Ratu Sukuna Memorial School takes on Nasinu in the final.

RSMS beat Marist 33-22 while Nasinu defeated QVS 22-18.

In the Under 15 grade, RKS through to the final after beating QVS 18-10 and meets Nasinu who beat Sila Central College 8-6 in the semifinal.
