Ravoravo Rabbitohs defend Vodafone Cup title

The Ravoravo Rabbitohs have defended the Vodafone Cup Premier Grade title after beating Army Bears 22-10 at Churchill Park.

The Army Bears got off to a perfect start through Ropate Tobe however the conversation was unsuccessful.

The Rabbitohs hit back straight after as Peniasi Senikarawa crossed over the line for a converted try.

With a few minutes remaining for halftime, Joeli Dulaki scored for the Bears following a set-piece move.

However, the conversation was again unsuccessful.

In the second half, the Army Bears defence stood tall despite the Rabbitohs continuous attack.

The Bears were also rewarded with a penalty and decided to take the 2 points.

With the Army Bears looking to have control of the match and also stealing the win, the Rabbitohs showed why they were the defending champion as they ran in three unanswered tries to Atueta Guivalu, Etonia Moitoga and Peniasi Senikarawa.

In the other matches, the Police Sharks beat Army Bears 20-14 in the Reserve Grade, the U18 category saw USP Raiders beat West Fiji Dolphins 18-4, the Ravoravo Rabbitohs beat Nadera Panthers 16-4 in the U16 grade, the USP Raiders beat the Rabbitohs 14-12 in the U14 grade and in the U12 grade, Rabbitohs thrashed Lautoka Crushers 32-12.
