The Queen Victoria School under-19 has been crowned the new Fiji Secondary School Rugby League champion after beating runner up Ratu Navula Sea Eagles 20-19 this afternoon.
The Ratu Navula Eagles were leading the QVS Knights 18-10 at the breather.
A determined QVS side fought back in the second spell to narrow the eight-point deficit and to take a point over Ratu Navula to seal the victory.
Making its first grand final appearance, the Eagles dream to win its first FSSRL Championship was severed by a strong QVS side.
In addition to the FSSRL title, QVS also walks away with a $5000 prize money and runner-up Ratu Navula won $2000.
In the under 17 category, Nasinu beat Ratu Sukuna Memorial School 42-6.
In the under 15 division, Ratu Kadavulevu School defeated QVS Knights 14-10.
