Vodafone Fiji Bati and Panthers forward Viliame Kikau appeared in severe doubt for the opening round of the NRL season after picking up a right knee injury in their pre-season 28-9 victory over the Rabbitohs.
According to NRL news, the giant back-rower will have scans tomorrow but the early prognosis was he suffered a grade one or two medial ligament tear, which could rule him out for two to six weeks.
Kikau was taken from the field in just the third minute after twisting his right knee awkwardly in a tackle at a wet and dreary Redfern Oval
Meanwhile, Dragons beat Knights 18-10, Raiders defeated Bulldogs 28-22 while Broncos win against Manly Sea Eagles 26-12.
