Steven Kearney has announced he is re-committing to the New Zealand Warriors until 2022.

Kearney who was set to come off contract at the end of the season put pen to paper today.

The 47-year-old says he is determined to finally bring silver-wear to the Kiwi side.

“I feel very privileged and looking forward to it. I’m working hard getting what everyone wants in the footy club. Let’s make it a consistent successful footy club and that my number one priority.”

The deal sees Kearney, 46, remain in the role for six seasons, joining Ivan Cleary as the longest-serving head coach in the club’s history.
