Fiji Bati team named for Toa Samoa clash

The Fiji Bati side has been named to face Toa Samoa in their first match of the 2019 Oceania Cup.

Bati coach Brandon Costin named an experienced line up with Kevin Naiqama returning.

Suliasi Vunivalu remains on the wing with Isaac Lumelume.

Bulldogs dummy half Brandon Wakeham joins Naiqama in the halves while Taane Milne and Brayden Wiliame are the starting centres.

Kane Evans, Joe Lovodua, Tui Kamikamica and Viliame Kikau have been named in the forwards.

Cronulla Sharks second-rower Jayson Bukuya, Eels winger Maika Sivo and Dragons star Mika Ravalawa are unavailable.

The Bati are in pool B of the Oceania Cup with Samoa and Papua New Guinea.

They will take on Samoa at 1.20pm this Saturday.

Fiji will need to beat both Samoa and PNG in order to play a Tier One team next year.
