Dragons star accused of rape set to appear in court

The trial of suspended NRL player and accused rapist Jack de Belin has been set down for March next year.

The 28-year-old St George Illawarra lock is pleading not guilty to five charges of aggravated sexual assault after allegedly attacking a 19-year-old woman at a Wollongong unit in December.

Another man, 22-year-old Callan Sinclair, faces similar charges.

The pair’s trial has been set for 2nd March 2020.

The NRL season is expected to begin around mid-March.
