Ben Barba is set to be officially banned from the NRL for life, with an Integrity Unit investigation into alleged domestic violence committed by the ex-North Queensland recruit to wrap up as early as Tuesday.

According to Channel 9, the game’s Integrity Unit has been investigating the Barba assault allegations over the past 24 hours with a report to be handed over to NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg.

Greenberg has already drawn a line in the sand on violence against women, saying on Saturday he will have no problem deregistering any player found guilty of domestic violence.
