Rugby League local club the Lami Steelers will be part of the Rami Sami Nasinu 7s this weekend.
This will be the second time Lami Steelers will participate in a Rugby Union competition.
Head Coach Viliame Tukana says competitions as such is a good opportunity for players to showcase their talent.
“For us there is a lot of players from our community in Lami that lacks experience in Rugby League so we thought of having to play Rugby league and sevens will give them an opportunity to showcase their talent before the rugby league season starts and also fitness wise it will be good for us Rugby League is a challenging stage to be a Fiji Bati So seven is another opportunity for greener passes so why not give it a go.”
