Fiji athletics rep Roy Ravana Junior has been shot dead in the United States.

This has been confirmed by Athletics Fiji officials, who say it is an emotional time for them, to have lost such a young person through no fault of his.

The former Marist Brothers High School student, was a student at the IOWA Community College, was shot by unknown assailants.

Ravana Junior, was a Fiji rep and former MBHS gold medalist was on a scholarship in the US, after his impressive outings locally.
