National swimming rep, Rosemarie Rova set a new record in the Age-Grade Long Course Event at Damodar Aquatic Centre in Suva.

The Nadi Barracudas club rep slashed 0.6 seconds off the record she set last year in the 11-12 years girls 200 meters butterfly event with a new time of 2.42.14 seconds.

This was the only record set in the one-day competition.

217 swimmers from 8 local clubs took part in the competition, which are the qualifiers for the National Age-Grade Long Course event in June.
