Cristiano Ronaldo scored his fourth goal of the World Cup to become the second-highest goal scorer in men’s international football, earning Portugal a nail-biting 1-0 win over Morocco.
Ronaldo scored their lone goal in the 4th minute of the first half.
The Real Madrid star made his 85th goal for his country in 152 games.
Ronaldo proved too strong, although his performance was not as spectacular as his display in the 3-3 draw against Spain."_
The result puts Portugal, with four points from two games, in a strong position to progress from Group B while Morocco becomes the first team in the group to be eliminated from the tournament after a second defeat.
