The Vodafone Fiji Roll Ball team returned yesterday from their first ever World Cup appearance in India.

The Sandeep Prakash led side did not have much preparation time as preparations for the tournament began just a couple of months before the team actually departed for the event.

Fiji went down to Iran 32-nil and then lost to Russia 8-nil in the playoffs.

The team will take a break now before planning for the development of the sport in the country.

The next World Cup will be held in two years’ time.
