Being the only Fijian in the All Blacks 7’s squad at the Oceania 7s, Akuila Rokolisoa says he is proud to be playing on home soil.

He says donning the Black jumper comes with challenges of its own.

The 25-year-old says he is happy to be playing at home.

‘It’s actually great, very motivational and emotional as well. Having my family come from different places in Fiji, first time to play in the Black jersey, and for them to watch me as well so it’s really encouraging and motivational for me’.

Rokolisoa made his debut for the All Blacks 7s in Hong Kong last year and has so far scored 78 points for the team.
