Fiji Airways 7s coach Gareth Baber says their journey to the Rugby Sevens World Cup in San Francisco starts in Dubai this weekend.
Baber says they have a big tasks ahead of them next year as they are eyeing the Rugby World Series title, World Cup title and the Commonwealth Games.
“This is our starting point for all the teams whether we’re the reigning World Sevens Series champion like South Africa. We need to stamp a mark this weekend and keep improving.”
He adds the challenge is now up to them on how they will deliver on the playing field.
Meanwhile, Fiji kicks off the Dubai 7s campaign against Russia on Friday at 7.06pm; they then play Wales at 10.06pm and face Australia on Saturday 4.06am.
The final will be played on Sunday at 4.33am.
