Ratu Kadavulevu School defeated Marist Brothers High School 8-5 in an epic final of the Coke Zero Deans at the ANZ Stadium.

Both teams were evenly matched in the first half with Marist leading 5-3 at halftime.

But RKS scored a try in the second spell and held on to win the match in an epic climax to the Deans trophy competition.

The triumph is RKS’s first title win in 10 years.

The result was more bittersweet for Marist Brothers as it was their first loss since 2011, on the road to winning the under 14 right up to the under 17 grades.

Meanwhile, RKS was also successful in the under 19 final, beating Lomaivuna High School 8-6.

Queen Victoria School claimed four age grade titles in the under 14, 15, 16 and 17 categories.
