RKS puts everything on the line to retain title

August 9, 2018 4:32 pm

Defending under 18 Deans Trophy Champions Ratu Kadavulevu School will do whatever it takes to retain their title against Cuvu College tomorrow.

With their opponents coming in with nothing to lose in the final, the Lodoni brigade will have to dig deep if they are to stand any chance to keep the title.

For RKS to deliver the killer punch in tomorrow’s encounter, key players like nippy halfback Jone Vatuwaliwali, Solomoni Naiduki and Captain Viliame Sokiveta will have to be at their very best.

However, with the backing of the Nadroga/Navosa province, Cuvu players are aiming to turn another page of rugby history by winning their first ever Deans title.

School Principal Navneet Mishra says they are well prepared and are ready for anything that RKS will throw at them.

With a lot at stake in the final for the two schools, only time will tell if RKS can add to their rich history in secondary schools rugby or can Cuvu defy all odds and walk away with the coveted silverware.

Cuvu faces RKS AT 4.40pm tomorrow at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.

Meanwhile the Under 14 final sees RKS playing Queen Victoria School at 8.30am.

The Under 15 final between RKS and Lelean Memorial School starts at 9.50am.
In the Under 16 final, QVS battles RKS at 11.20am.

In the Under 17 final QVS meets LMS at 12.45pm while the Under 19 final will have RKS playing LMS at 3pm.

All games will be played at the ANZ Stadium.
