The Rewa football side is yet to pay $5000 fine for striker Iosefo Verevou, as they gear up for the Vodafone Fiji FACT.

Verevou has served his six-match suspension and he will only be able to play if the association clears the fine.

Rewa President, Mohammed Nazeel says they are working on it as the team prepares for defending its title once again this year.

“The training has been going on well for now. We have been playing with Suva for past one week now, both teams have been preparing together and there are some very positive signs coming from the training session. Players seemed very focused and with we being the defending champions and also the host so there is a kind of big responsibilities on each so they know what’s needed out of them and they’re responding to it accordingly.”

Fiji FACT kicks off on Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

In the first game on day one, Nadi plays Tavua at 1.30pm, Labasa faces Dreketi at 4pm, Suva meets Lautoka at 6pm and Rewa battles it out against Ba at 8pm.

You can catch the commentaries of the Nadi- Tavua, Suva-Lautoka and Rewa-Ba matches live on Radio Fiji TWO.
