Rewa releases four players to join Suva

The Rewa football side has released four players to join Suva as the player transfer window closes in the next hour.

Goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, mid-fielders Madhavan Goundar, Tevita Waranivalu and Savenaca Nakalevu have been cleared to play for the capital city side.

Fiji Football Association Chief Executive, Mohammed Yusuf says its now on Suva to meet certain requirements and get the release from the parent body.

“We just received the confirmation from Rewa that they will release all the four players in the Police Force to move from Rewa to Suva. As the rule says the districts have seven days to respond if they do or don’t then we take the action.”

Meanwhile, in the only Vodafone Premier League match on Saturday, Labasa plays Dreketi, 1.30pm at Subrail Park and on Sunday Rewa host Nadi, 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
