The Rewa Football Association is not happy with the ruling by the Fiji Football Association on its player, Iosefo Verevou.

“Rewa football will not take the bullying techniques of Fiji FA and take the matter to the arbitration. We will not let some people sitting behind the desk decide the fate of the kid’s future. We will not allow Fiji FA to kill Sefo’s (Iosefo Verevo) bright soccer future, He has been a disciplined, hardworking and willing to learn footballer. Everyone deserves a second chance and we don’t see why Fiji FA has come out so strong on this boy.”

Verevou, Ba duo Avneel Kumar and Waisea Yavala , Lautoka’s Samuela Goro and Kelvin Naidu were also slapped with a $5000 fine.

Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel says the decision was made by the board.

“Fiji FA has not given any biased decision as the decision was mattered out to all five people and if anything Rewa football has to make sure the career of any footballer is there then they have take the discipline at home and make an adult of him first and make him understand what the life is all about instead of taking personal grudge that he wants the player to play.”

Patel also adds they would like to set an example to prevent a repeat of the incident in the future.
