Replacement players join Flying Fijians

November 5, 2012 11:58 pm

Backline utility, Kameli Ratuvou is the latest inclusion in the Flying Fijians squad to replace the injured players.

Manager Aseri Rokoura says Ratuvou will replace Waisea Nayacalevu while Akapusi Qera will join in after being released by Gloucester.

Qera and Ratuvou had earlier opted to stay on for club commitments but under IRB laws Fiji’s injury problems meant the clubs were to release the players.

Rokoura says the cold remains the biggest obstacle for the players.

“Apart from the jet lag the cold weather has kicked in, however in the next day or two they should totally adapt and also the camp environment. Comparing to the last camp environment in Taunovo, the barrack style accommodation, they have been put in a room each with comfortable beds.”

Fiji will name its run-on team this Friday before taking on England at 3.30am on Sunday.
