Rawaca's form impresses Quinn

April 1, 2015 6:40 pm

Veteran World Rugby Sevens Series commentator, Keith Quinn, says strong runner Savenaca Rawaca has been one of the standouts this season.

Rawaca has been in devastating form and played a key role for the Vodafone Fiji side in its 33-19 win over New Zealand in the final of the Hong Kong 7s on Sunday.

Quinn says the likes of Rawaca and skipper, Osea Kolinisau, will play a key role in Japan this weekend.

“Savenaca Rawaca from Fiji was a really big telling figure in the final I felt Osea Kolinisau, the captain led his team beautifully in the final and when the national anthem was played and the cameras zoomed in he had big tears tumbling down his cheek.”

Meanwhile in Tokyo this weekend, the side takes on Wales at 1pm on Saturday, Hong Kong at 4.18pm and England at 8.30pm.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals will be played on Sunday.
