Ravula ready for second World Cup outing

Rugged flanker, Malakai Ravulo is delighted with his selection in the Vodafone Flying Fijians squad to the Rugby World Cup next month.

The 31-year-old, who now plies his trade in Romania, was part of the 2011 World Cup squad.

Ravulo is optimistic that the team can rise above the challenge and pull of some surprises against the big guns in their pool, such as hosts England, Australia and Wales.

“I’m really excited at the moment and I’ve been thanking the coach for trusting me and believing in me to have a crack at another World Cup because the last one didn’t go too well. I know and I hope that the boys are looking forward to this World Cup.”

The Flying Fijians presented their itatau to the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau earlier today and depart for England on Monday.

The national side will face England in their opening World Cup match on September 19th at 7am and you can watch it live on FBC TV.
