Fiji Airways mens 7s player Vatemo Ravouvou will play a key role in the Las Vegas tournament next weekend.

Ravouvou was dropped from the national team for disciplinary reasons ahead of the Sydney 7s last month.

The stylish play-maker was then called into the team as an injury replacement when Fiji won the inaugural Hamilton 7s.

Coach Gareth Baber says, Vatemo brings in a lot of confidence to the players on the field.

“Vatemo {Ravouvou} ability is accurate in kicking. The players know around him how they can go onto the ball in the air and it becomes an important mechanism for us winning the ball back. So Vatemo comes back in the team and he is one of the 13th players in the team.”

The Fiji 7s team leaves for Las Vegas today.

The side begins its campaign against Russia at 12.06pm next Saturday.

They then play France at 3.07pm and faces Kenya in their last pool match at 8.36am next Sunday.

The quarterfinal kicks off on 1.26pm on Sunday, while the semi-final begins at 9.12am on Monday the 5th of March and the final is secluded for 12.30pm.
