Hard-running prop forward, Peni Ravai believes Fiji can be a force to reckon with in the scrums.
This is the view of Ravai will be among the key players in the Telecom Fiji Warriors side, which will participate in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge in Suva next month.
The 25 year old says he has gathered a lot of knowledge in the set-pieces from participating in the Rugby World Cup last year, where Fiji was able to match top-tier sides like Australia, England and Wales.
Ravai is eager to share that knowledge with upcoming players.
“I learnt from Manasa Saulo and Campese Ma’afu last year so this year I am going to pass on my knowledge to the young players in the team. There are a lot of young players, especially from the national Under-20 side from last year.
Hopefully our scrums can keep on improving from last year.”
Players in the Fiji Warriors extended squad continued with their daily training exercise today at national High Performance Centers around the country.
The Warriors will compete against Samoa A, Tonga A and Junior Japan in the Pacific Challenge, which will be staged at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on March 8th-21st.
