August 1, 2018 4:33 am

Former Flying Fijians, Sireli Bobo has been impressed with Ratu Navula College’s Under-18 fullback Ratu Waqa and believes he is a player to watch in the Powerade Deans semi-final this weekend.

The Namotomoto Nadi native is also a member of the Fiji Under-20 team.
Bobo says Waqa has been improving a lot after being involved with the Fiji Rugby Union’s High Performance Unit.

“Its good we bring in those players and develop their skills. You see Ratu Osea was a standout player last week because he is doing what he learnt and that has really helped him in his game.”

Meanwhile in the Under-18 grade Marist Brothers High School will take on Cuvu Collegein the first semi-final at 2.30pm while at 4pm Ratu Navula College takes on defending champions RKS at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
